ANOTHER PARTNERSHIP FOR CHRIST
We have been in process over the past few months acting as the 'go-between', introducing a young missionary family to a church and its pastor in Sendai. Of course, many nitty-gritty details needed processing. But foremost of all, we PRAISE God for leading us down His path. We PRAISE our Lord that these two families will partner together, telling the Japanese families in Sendai of the love and hope found in Jesus.
PRAY as the search for housing begins.

MONGOLIA STM TRIP
Pray for the Japanese STM going to Mongolia from August 2 - 11. We will host them here on August 1st providing them with their first opportunity to fellowship as a team as they each come from different churches.
CHERYL ENCOUNTERED
Cheryl, while out walking Wednesday morning, was encountered by a women coming from the other direction. Her daughter and our daughter had gotten to know each other because they were tutored by our neighbor. Her daughter died suddenly a couple of years ago of an aneurism while barely in her 20s. This mother and Cheryl spoke for some time and she shared from her ongoing depression.
She is looking for hope & meaning and she encountered Cheryl. PRAY that we might share with her and others like her looking for hope. May they find Jesus.

Jeffrey Maki
Jeffrey of late has begun to take more initiative in communication and other areas of his life. This encourages us greatly.
This past Sunday we were to sing at a festival with the Gospel Choir. Instead we were rained out. We were pinned down by a thunder and lightning storm. It swept in suddenly just before 'show time' knocking out electricity. Jeffrey showed his compassion by comforting more than one person who were afraid.
Abi Megumi
We had a WONDERFUL TIME of family fun and fellowship celebrating Abi's 18th birthday this past Monday.
Abi has impressed us and herself by passing an English test needed for junior college entrance. She passed at the 100% level for both parts of the testing. Now you may say, "What is so surprising about that?" Well, did you get 100% on your English exams? I did not. Be it declared: "I am impressed."
Next stop: The Japanese language test.
Cheryl & Leon
We both have those inevitable health issues for those closer to 100 then to 0. Pray for Cheryl's full healing from the fibroid and the accompanying issues.
Thanks so much for your faithful prayers!! We are DESPERATE for your prayers!
Remember, "Cling to the LORD your God! (cp. Deuteronomy 13:4) --- and hold on for the ride of your life!"
