KINDRED SPIRITS
Tomorrow Calvin & Joy Chinen will come for a visit. Calvin and Leon were roommates at Wheaton College and then classmates & accountability partners while at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Our friendship has endured over the years and we look forward to their visit. We will try to take it at about half pace and find rest & relaxation with these dear 'kindred spirits'.

Well, the spiritual battle continues. We thought that we would actually be with the Onomas at the time I am writing this. But late yesterday they contacted us to let us know that their boys are sick and want to try for next month.
Please pray that the Holy Spirit will use this extension to increase their admitted interest and desire to know how a relationship with Jesus Christ enhances the love and strength of a family.
RYUGAOKA CHURCH PLANT
Rainy days continue to delay the distribution of all of the flyers for the preschool children's and parents' English clubs. We met Mrs. S and her daughter last Tuesday for the first time. Pray that they and others will join us and, like the Onomas and others, who have become friends will want to know the 'Best of Friends' who will fill their hearts will love, peace, hope, joy and salvation.
Ongoing Prayer Requests:

- Mrs. Bonnie Zimmerman: Healing of liver cancer. Feeling better, but test results do not indicate improvement.
- Mr. T. M.: A beloved friend & supporter suffering with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
- Sheri Hill (Leon's Brother's wife): She states that she feels better then she has in several years!!
- Cheryl's Uncle Frank continues to heal and improve.

We pretty much have returned to full schedule. Now it is the high humid heat in the 90s that weighs us down.
